The District is currently considering revisions to Policy P.005.GOV Board Member and Student Trustee Expenses and Support Services. The proposed revisions reinforce the OCDSB’s commitment to responsible resource use, ensuring optimization of the use of resources in support of good governance.

These proposed updates include language for limiting the carry forward amount and an adjustment to the timeline for expenses incurred in an election year to reflect changes to the timing of municipal elections. By setting criteria, specific controls and oversight mechanisms, the policy revisions aim to protect district resources while promoting responsible stewardship and effective governance practice.
